I didn’t know this about him.
As Matt points out, this was a problem for Jimmy Carter as well.
Nobody can say this is a universal trait of governors, obviously.
However, why don’t we think of things like this when we’re evaluating presidential candidates instead of automatically saying we only want governors, never senators?
If Walker—who was growing on me until he went against type in the leadership department—is as addicted to micromanaging as Carter was, I don’t want him anywhere near the White House.
Successful governor or not.
